On February 12, 2020, Dime partnered with Herald Community Newspapers to host the Top Lawyers of Long Island Networking Breakfast at the Heritage Club in Farmingdale, New York. The event provided a great opportunity to engage attorneys from the winning firms of the 2019 Herald Top Lawyers of Long Island Awards.

“The legal community is one of our most sought-after segments,” stated Michael A. Perez, Dime Executive Vice President and Chief Retail Officer. “The Top Lawyers Networking Breakfast is a great example of how we are bringing people together and building meaningful relationships with professionals,” he noted.

During opening remarks, Angelo Frangella, Dime Senior Vice President and Director of Retail Sales, underscored Dime’s history of helping local businesses and its relationship focus on serving attorneys and law firms. “This event enabled us to engage, one on one, with attorneys who attended the breakfast and to learn about what’s truly important regarding their banking needs,” remarked Angelo. “In turn, we then explained how Dime can add value back to their firm, he added.”

“I was able to reconnect with a former client, schedule a meeting and meet the founder of the firm, who was also in attendance,” remarked Daniel Zaveckas, Dime Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager, Port Washington. “We spoke about each other’s businesses and discussed ways we could partner going forward,” he added.

“Two of my clients and COI’s attended the breakfast event,” noted Nick Symanski, Dime Vice President, Business Development Relationship Manager. “In addition, my attorney COI made many connections at our event and was very thankful,” he added.

Also attending the event were Kevin Gallagher, Dime Senior Vice President and Group Leader, SBA, as well as Dime Business Development Relationship Managers Franklin Carrero and Aisha Umar, and Dime Merrick Branch Manager Diane Duel.
